General Motors Recognizes ADESA Kansas City as 2006 GM Auction of the Year

Used vehicle auction recognized in back-to-back years for its overall success in reconditioning, repairs and presentation of vehicles at GM Sponsored Auctions

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO., 2007-01-29 - General Motors today presented the 2006 GM Auction of the Year award to ADESA Kansas City. One of 41 GM Sponsored Auctions across the United States, ADESA Kansas City was recognized for its overall achievement in providing GM and its dealers with outstanding quality, service and value at GM Sponsored Auctions during 2006. This marks the second consecutive year that ADESA Kansas City has been awarded this honor.

Jeff Heichel, director, GM Used Vehicle Activities, presented the 2006 GM Auction of the Year award today to Harold Chapman, general manager, ADESA Kansas City.
"For the second consecutive year, I am pleased to present this award to Harold Chapman and the ADESA Kansas City staff," said Heichel. "The GM Auction of the Year award recognizes outstanding overall achievement in reconditioning, repairs and presentation of GM used vehicles to our dealers. By winning this award in back-to-back years, ADESA Kansas City has shown the effort and determination to consistently provide great service and products for GM dealers."

ADESA Kansas City has ranked among the top 10 GM Sponsored Auctions since 1999. ADESA Kansas City sold more than 17,000 used vehicles at GM Sponsored sales and GMAC open sales in 2006. Part of the GM Sponsored Auctions program since 1983, ADESA Kansas City has been one of the top performers for GM in the past several years, including selling 15,000 units and being named GM Auction of the Year in 2005.
